Is 3 days enough to see the Serengeti properly?▾
Three days in the Serengeti is genuinely rewarding. Two full days in Seronera Valley the most wildlife-dense area gives you excellent odds of seeing all the major predators. You won't cover the full 14,763 km² park, but Seronera is the heart of Serengeti wildlife and rarely disappoints.
What big cats can I expect to see?▾
Seronera Valley is the most reliable big cat zone in Africa. Lion sightings are virtually guaranteed the valley supports multiple resident prides. Cheetah are seen on termite mounds nearly every day. Leopard sightings are less certain but Seronera's fig trees along the river are excellent leopard habitat. Our guides know the resident individuals well.
What is the best month to visit the Serengeti?▾
The Serengeti is superb year-round. June–October is peak season for big cat activity as the migration herds fill the northern and central areas. January–March is calving season in the south extraordinary for predator-prey interactions. April–May is green season with fewer visitors and dramatic landscapes.
Can I add a Ngorongoro Crater game drive to this itinerary?▾
Yes — Day 3 of this itinerary already includes a morning Ngorongoro Crater game drive before returning to Arusha. This gives you Tanzania's two greatest wildlife destinations in one seamless 3-day safari.
Is a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti possible?▾
Yes a Serengeti balloon safari is available as an add-on. Balloon flights launch at dawn and float over the Serengeti plains for approximately 1 hour, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. Cost is approximately $580 per person and should be booked in advance. Ask us when enquiring.
What vehicles do you use?▾
We use Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 vehicles with a full pop-up roof for 360-degree game viewing. Each vehicle carries a maximum of 6 guests with individual window seats and enough space for everyone to move freely. Vehicles are fully equipped with a cool box, binoculars, and first aid kit.
Can I do this safari solo as a single traveller?▾
Absolutely solo travellers are welcome. The pricing is per person based on a minimum of 2 guests sharing a vehicle. For solo travel, a small single supplement applies. We frequently pair solo travellers with other solo guests on the same dates to reduce cost if preferred.
