6-Day Mid-Range Joining Northern Circuit Safari

Absolutely solo travellers are very welcome on joining safaris. Meeting other travellers from around the world is one of the most valued parts of the joining safari experience. The single supplement on joining safaris is small, and we often have other solo travellers on the same departure who you'll share costs with.

Our guides are experienced at managing diverse groups. Game drive routes and stops are guided by what the group collectively sees and wants to follow. The group dynamic on safari is generally excellent everyone wants to see wildlife and the shared experience creates a positive atmosphere. If you have very specific interests (birds, photography, specific species), let us know and your guide will incorporate these.

Joining safaris depart with a minimum of 2 paying passengers. Most departures have 4–8 passengers. If a departure has only 1 confirmed booking, we will contact you and either offer a private alternative at reduced cost or suggest combining with a nearby departure date. We do not run single-person 'joining' safaris — you will always have at least one other fellow traveller.

In most cases, yes if you decide you'd prefer a private vehicle after joining, we can usually arrange this for the remaining days at a supplement. This depends on vehicle availability and is confirmed on the day. Let us know at the earliest opportunity so we can plan.

Yes your guide is assigned for the full duration of the joining safari and stays with your group throughout. Continuity of guide is important for wildlife tracking — your guide builds knowledge of individual animals, their behaviour, and your group's interests as the safari progresses. The same guide from Day 1 to the final day.

Our joining safari cancellation policy: cancellations 60+ days before departure receive a full refund minus a $50 admin fee. 30–59 days: 50% refund. Under 30 days: no refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. If we cancel a departure due to insufficient bookings, a full refund or free date change is offered.
