Ngorongoro Public Campsite sits on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater at over 2,300 metres altitude — one of the world’s most dramatic camping locations. Nights can be cold (temperatures drop to 8–12°C), and wildlife including buffalo and hyenas roam freely through the campsite after dark. Basic toilet and shower facilities are available. The views from the rim at sunrise are extraordinary.
